Excel Twitters 20100125
Bill Gates recently created a Twitter account, and attracted thousands of followers in a very short time. Some of those followers hope that he’ll help with their Excel problems. Maybe he can help with those features that don’t work exactly the way that we’d like.
Hello Bill Gates
- @billgates Taking a class on Excel 2007 today. Please don’t update this for another year or so. I want to feel smart for a while 🙂
- Hello @billgates welcome to Twitter, I love to read, I am a good person, will you buy me a KindleDX? I am also an Excel ninja & an MCSE+I
- Hello @BillGates, word up? Hope you excel, this tweet has no power point to it.
Odd Features
- Dear Microsoft, If a user wants to select cells from a row in one Excel doc and paste them to columns in another, THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO.
- love Excel but sometimes it is plain odd. Copy/Paste Special-Transpose is awesome (discovered today) but no Cut/Paste Special. Why?
- looking forward to the day when excel will let me paste in UK phone numbers with a +44 without giving me an error message
Nonsensical Things
- I have definitely found that Excel is worthless as a graphing program. Why do so many people still use it as one?
- ya bro. im using excel. but the line chart come out funny.
- To clarify: Few was talking about lots of nonsensical things you can do in Excel etc, he’s not forcing everybody to do the same exact chart.
- Just downloaded some fancy new Excel thing so I can get some GRAPHS going, oh yeah.
Excel Sacrifice
- the Excel gods are hatin’ on me this morning. maybe I should do a spreadsheet dance? or a burnt offering of server capacity?
