It\u2019s been quite a week for Excel tweeters. I\u2019ll leave it up to you to answer the 3D pie chart question. And I didn\u2019t know that soap whittling was a county fair event, but you learn something every day \u2013 especially if you use Excel.<\/p>\n<h3>The Spice of Life<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Every five minutes, for example, I get a 1 minute break while Excel churns away for no reason. I use it to contemplate the meaning of life.<\/li>\n<li>Apparently it is excel &#8220;Catastrophic Error&#8221; Day. Good. Well. That certainly does add a bit of spice.<\/li>\n<li>Each time I learn a keyboard shortcut in Excel I die a little inside.<\/li>\n<li>I just forgot where &#8220;rows repeat at top&#8221; was in excel so googled it. Funny that I go there rather than the excel HELP function. Oh well.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Driven to Drink<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>have done 4 straight hours of really boring excel. think i deserve a martini. in a size of a glass that those burlesque dancers sit it<\/li>\n<li>There&#8217;s a very large discrepancy between the amount of coffee my body can hold, and the amount I need to stay awake in my Excel training.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Awesome or Amateur<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Making graphs and pie charts using MS Excel for the first time in my life. Probably the last too.<\/li>\n<li>I don&#8217;t think making charts in Excel is really using the full extent of my formidable intellectual powers. But it is a relaxing activity.<\/li>\n<li>But the Gray Background and Pastel Datapoints are Iconic: A blogger complains about making plots with Excel. <a href=\"http:\/\/tinyurl.com\/cpgbwq\">http:\/\/tinyurl.com\/cpgbwq<\/a><\/li>\n<li>why the heck doesn&#8217;t excel have histograms? MS office &#8211; you are officially in my bad books.<\/li>\n<li>3D excel pie charts &#8211; awesome or amateur? Thoughts requested.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>I Love Pivot Tables<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Am I a nerd? Just ordered a 300 page book on Excel Pivot tables\u2026<\/li>\n<li>In a workshop learning to become an excel spreadsheet genius. I love pivot tables!<\/li>\n<li>Just realized that Pivot table are not all they are hyped up to be.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Hours of Coding<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Never rewrite someones VBA app, ever!<\/li>\n<li>It worries me that probably the most maintainable app I&#8217;ve written is in Excel VBA<\/li>\n<li>Trying to make sense of a VBA Function 1200 lines long. Ugh.<\/li>\n<li>Ben has just solved a problem with 6 lines of VBA when he was expecting hours of coding! Awesome!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Blue Ribbon Excel<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Funny post &#8211; but I want that excel spreadsheet. <a href=\"http:\/\/tinyurl.com\/bhabn2\">http:\/\/tinyurl.com\/bhabn2<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Anyone have any job leads? I&#8217;m a genius with Macs, and competition-level with Excel.<\/li>\n<li>Just whittled down a 2,500-line spreadsheet to 400.
