Excel Tweets Roundup 20200228
Could you date someone who doesn’t have a favourite formula? What about someone who uses their Excel powers for evil? Maybe you’re better off with someone who doesn’t even understand your love for Excel.
This Week’s Tweets
Here are my favourite Excel tweets, from all the ones that I saw on Twitter this week.

My love for excel spreadsheets is troubling to most people and I accept that.

This is solid advice for any situation where one person does work critical to business operations.
I just had to rewrite a 1000-line Excel macro from scratch because the guy that wrote the original in 2006 didn’t document and must have been an end-stage syphilitic monkey.

The most brutal interview I’ve been a part of on the hiring side was when my boss asked this young CS graduate what Microsoft Excel was and asked him to describe how it works.

I used to love my chunky noisy desktop calculator with the paper rolls. I used to think I was so cool sitting in my big office with that.

Getting Older:
Me, 5 years ago: Excel spreadsheets are stupid
Me, this AM: Excel spreadsheets are incredible
Me, this PM: Is there life beyond excel spreadsheets? Does such a life exist? Nay, I will likely end my days staring at the rows & columns that extend beyond the sunset.— Armando Moritz-Chapelliquen (@ThatArmandoMC) February 25, 2020

My inner Excel nerd is SO happy someone is finally talking about what matters. We’d use our conditional formatting powers for good, not evil, or at least not stupid. We care about defined parameters! Those determining who should validly get funding, or spreadsheet setup! #auspol

I matched with this guy on bumble and his profile said he really liked Excel so I asked him what his favourite formula was and he unmatched me

I live for situations when a coworker calls or stops by and starts the conversation with “is there a way in Excel to……”. The world stops at that point and they now have my full attention.
Thanks, Eric, and that would definitely be a bright spot in my work day! The hard part is not overwhelming them with 10 different ways they could do that Excel thing!
